1005B: Escape

An educational activity on the history of the Holocaust, where participants learn about the mass murder that took place in Kaunas Ninth Fort during the Nazi occupation. They discover what the secret Operation 1005 and the Enterprise 1005B, which operated on its basis in the fort, were about. The personalities of the prisoners, the corpse burners, are presented, as well as their work, experiences and the escape plan that was carried out, which each participant will have the opportunity to replicate.

A part of the activity takes place outdoors; therefore, it is recommended to wear appropriate clothing and footwear in cold or rainy weather.
