Participants of the guided tour are briefly introduced to the history of Kaunas Fortress: in the semi-caponier of the Ninth Fort, the circumstances of the origin of Kaunas Fortress are presented as well as the construction of the Ninth Fort. The second part of the tour includes a visit to the underground communication galleries of Kaunas Ninth Fort. The former positions of the artillery guns and garrison and the artillery armament are introduced to. The participants of the tour can see the drinking water well used by the Ninth Fort garrison, the ammunition stores and the shelters of artillery guns and the garrison.
