Thematic guided tour THE HOLOCAUST IN LITHUANIA

 20 € per group + entrance tickets

The tragic events of the Holocaust are vividly remembered in the Ninth Fort, which during the Second World War became one of the largest mass murder sites in Nazi Germany’s occupied Lithuania. The participants of the tour get acquainted with the exhibitions on the mass murder that took place in 1941-1944 in the Ninth Fort and elsewhere in Lithuania, the history of Kaunas Ghetto and the fate of its inhabitants, the Lithuanian rescuers of the Jews, the foreign diplomats who saved the Jews during the Second World War, the extermination of the foreign Jews in the Ninth Fort and the legendary escape of the prisoners (burners of the corpses) from the Ninth Fort. The tour finishes with a visit to the mass murder field and the memorial monument.
