This educational activity introduces schoolchildren to the history of the deportation of the Lithuanian population during the Soviet regime. Using attractive and impactful educational tools based on empirical moments, participants are exposed to the context of deportations, the conditions of the people who lived in exile, especially children (their everyday life, environment, daily routine…). It allows for reflection and various comparisons to be made between the physical and psychological state of the children who lived in the exile places and those who are growing up in the present conditions. Sharing thoughts and observations encourages pupils’ self-expression and creativity.
